All Those Years Ago (Patchogue)

Patchogue Theater for Performing Arts

71 East Main St
Patchogue, NY 11772

“All Those Years Ago” remembers the incredible life and music history of master musician and lead Beatles guitarist, George Harrison. Born on February 25, 1943, in Liverpool, England, George Harrison formed a band with his schoolmates to play clubs around Liverpool and in Hamburg, Germany. Known as The Beatles, George Harrison and his now, bandmates, John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr became the biggest and most influential rock band in the world. Harrison's diverse musical interests took The Beatles in many directions, including the incorporation of Indian instrumentation and Hindu-aligned spirituality. Post-Beatles, George Harrison made acclaimed solo records and started a successful film production company, HandMade Films. Rolling Stone magazine ranked Harrison #11 in their list of the “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.” He has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice " once in 1988, as a member of The Beatles, and then posthumously in 2004 for his solo career. Celebrate George Harrison’s legendary music career and life as we honor him in this very special 75th birthday concert.
